Mammacita, St Andrews’ popular location for Mexican food, is closing its doors later this month.
The hotspot for tapas, fajitas, and frozen margaritas announced its closure earlier today via Facebook post, confirming that the restaurant will be closing on Sunday 12 May.
The Facebook post added that customers looking for great food and drinks should head down to their neighbours at the Vic.
Mammacita on Market Street will be missed by students and locals alike in St Andrews, with over 100 comments of regret made on the Facebook post already.
Many state that they are “gutted” about the closure, with others tagging friends and reminiscing over birthday nights out and “drunken feasts.”
There is just over a week until we say goodbye to Mammacita for good, and it remains unclear what will become of the space at St Mary’s Place after the closure. Until then, there is still time to head down and get your burrito and nacho fix.
