SPONSORED BY SPOILED LIFE
The Spoiled salon is a well-established mainstay of St Andrews’ town centre. However, the Spoiled brand is expanding with a new venture and location. Spoiled Life, is a new lifestyle concept store and coffee bar also located in the heart of St Andrews on Greyfriars Garden.
Welcome to a brand-new kind of shopping experience.
Only a few meters away from Spoiled Hairdressing, Spoiled Life evolves the visual narrative already present in the salon, bringing a new vision of lifestyle shopping into the neighbourhood. As you enter the store you will be able to browse a variety of unique homeware and jewelry delights. Head up the stairs and grab a cup of freshly ground coffee and breakfast patisserie from the coffee bar. Located on the mezzanine level of the beautifully renovated space, Spoiled Life coffee shop will enhance your shopping experience. As you continue through the store you will find carefully curated scents and candles for sale. Downstairs are larger furniture items. In keeping with the artistic vision of the store the furniture is arranged to recreate a living room set up and is infused with Scandinavian style and sensibility. From contemporary and timeless jewelry to home accessories and furniture, each item in store has been carefully chosen for you to fall in love with and bring into your daily life.
Everything about Spoiled Life reflects the aesthetic of its owners, Glenn and Steve, stemming from their passion for interior design, fashion and, above all, travelling. In the eclectic style of Spoiled Life, you will find influences from Mediterranean countries, Moroccan style, as well as elements of Northern European design, merging into a personal and contemporary vision for the lifestyle store.
Given the wide scope of influences that inspired the opening of Spoiled Life, it is not surprising that the store also boasts a variety of brands and designers. These include independent names, such as Jonathan Ward, Melody Rose, and Rachel Entwistle. As well as the well-established Scandanavian brands, Ferm and House Doctor. Some particularly exciting items in the store include perfumed oils from Maison Louis Marie. The brand is cruelty free and has a long and interesting history despite only being established in 2014. The luxury scent company was founded by the granddaughter of esteemed French botanist, Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars. During the French revolution, he was exiled to Mauritius. However, when he returned he was welcomed into the prestigious Académie des Sciences with a collection of 2000 plants that influence the floral scents of the brand today. The Spoiled Life also sells a range of resort wear from the independent designer Fara. The brand focuses on their use of silk and is as much inspired by travel as the store itself. As well as the far flung Spoiled Life also showcases the prints and original works by Glasgow-based artist Ross Muir. Muir’s prints take a humorous and modern twist on classic artworks.
Browsing inside Spoiled Life will be a journey in itself, dictated by the textures and colour palettes that alternate between the different areas of the shop. The mix of whites, concrete and glass of the retail space at the entrance, is followed by the earthy tones of the coffee shop, to end with the minimalist appeal of the downstairs level, reflecting the Scandi aesthetic of the bigger pieces of furniture on display. In its entirety, the store is characterised by its eclectic, relaxed and contemporary verve.
Spoiled Life offers something completely new to the town. Where the unique luxury goods are matched by the atmosphere created in the design of the store. Find out more about Spoiled Life on Instagram and Facebook. Welcome to the Spoiled Experience!
