St Andrews’ Italian deli, Rocca, has recently acquired local boutique hotel and restaurant, The Golf Inn. Speaking to The Saint, the owners of Rocca Deli divulged what the eatery has in store for students in town.
Motivated by a passion and love for good food, Rocca Deli is keen to continue their tradition of quality and good customer service to a different establishment. Considering the plethora of restaurants and pubs in St Andrews, Rocca’s owners were inspired to widen their fan-base and menu range by offering “a con-temporary twist on classic dishes.”
This encouraged them to acquire The Golf Inn, a local boutique hotel with a brasserie and bar, in order to branch out and offer something fresh and exciting to St Andrews’ population.
With a student audience in mind, the newly transformed Golf Inn will have “prices with-in reach of everyone” and will shortly introduce a student discount on top of regular promotions, making it a prospective hot spot for cash-strapped students.
Of course, Rocca Deli will incorporate the well-loved array of dishes they are renowned for into their newest venture. The menu will boast a range of options from polenta battered fish to The Golf Inn burgers with bone marrow, while the resident mixologist will be busy whipping up a range of classic and brand-new cocktails for single or shared drinks.
The new collaboration between Rocca Deli and The Golf Inn will see not only new additions to the menu but also a unique dining experience. Local musicians and comedians will be entertaining patrons through-out their meals.
Comedy nights kickoff with a launch event on 2 December and will boast a line up of St Andrews comedians. The Golf Inn also aims to be a central hub for socialisation amongst St Andrean students. The eatery will offer space to host large private dining celebrations for friends and societies to get together to celebrate.
