Actor Bill Murray is said to have been involved in a car collision in Greyfriars Garden while visiting St Andrews for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this week.
The sixty nine year old actor, donning a cowboy hat, could be seen talking to police officers in the street.
Police Scotland confirmed that four vehicles, including one belonging to Fife Council, had been involved in the incident in Greyfriars Garden, near Market Street and North Street in St Andrews, at around 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
Murray, star of hit films such as Groundhog Day, Lost in Translation, and Ghostbusters, has recently been photographed with students in local St Andrews pubs.
He joins other big names, such as singer and actor Justin Timberlake and Downton Abbey star Matthew Goode, in Fife this week for the much anticipated Dunhill Links, which is set to begin this Thursday.
