Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will be making a visit to St Andrews to promote her new social networking app.
She will be speaking at Younger Hall on February 5, however tickets have already sold out on the St Andrews Students Association website. The event will focus on careers in the arts as part of the University Careers Week which runs from the February 4 to February 8.
Ms Williams rose to international stardom as part of the award-winning TV series Game of Thrones where she played Arya Stark between 2011 and 2018. The 21-year-old was nominated for an Emmy award for her performances in what had been her first professional acting role.
Her talk will also promote her new social networking app ‘Daisie‘. Describing itself as a “playground for creative collaboration”, the app intends to be a social media for creators.
The Daisie website says: “We’re establishing a community that thrives on collaboration, somewhere creative ideas are safe to be explored, developed and understood; for all ages, all regions, all nationalities.
“Our goal is to fundamentally redesign the way that creatives work together and discover one another. We want you to find your people, and celebrate the experience of enabling one destination for creator driven content.”
