St Andrews has maintained its third place ranking in the Guardian University League Table 2017 announced today.
The University has also retained its status as the top-ranked university in Scotland, according to the league table.
St Andrews also claimed the top ranking in the UK for several subjects, including politics and international relations and computer sciences, while also maintaining top five placings for classics, history of art and history.
The Guardian’s league tables rank universities according to spending per student; the student/staff ratio; graduate career prospects and entry requirements.
They also factor in a value-added score that compares students’ entry qualifications with their final degree results, and how satisfied final-year students are with their courses, based on results from the annual National Student Survey (NSS).
